Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ChoreBoard ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users, including parents, guardians, and children who access the App under parental supervision.

Who May Use the App

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a family account. Children may use the App only under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian who has agreed to these Terms on their behalf.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child profiles you create, and that you take full responsibility for their use of the App.

What ChoreBoard Does

ChoreBoard is a personal family productivity tool that allows families to:

• Assign and track household chores for children.
• Award virtual "Coins" upon chore completion (approved by a Parent).
• Set up rewards that children can redeem with their virtual Coins.
• Track savings goals and family achievements.

Virtual Coins have no real-world monetary value. They are an in-app motivational tool only and cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed outside the App.

Account and PIN Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your 4-digit Parent PIN. Do not share your PIN with your children. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your family account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your PIN.

User Content

You may upload photos for child profile avatars ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you represent that:

• You have the right to upload and use the content.
• The content does not depict any person without their consent (or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are a minor).
• The content is appropriate for a family audience and does not contain nudity, violence, or offensive material.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App or its servers.
• Use the App to harass, exploit, or harm any person.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or inappropriate for children.
• Create multiple family accounts to circumvent any usage limits.

Intellectual Property

All content in ChoreBoard — including the app design, graphics, text, and code — is owned by us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial family use only.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content.

Virtual Currency — Coins

Coins are a virtual in-app reward mechanism with no cash value and no real-world equivalent.

• Coins cannot be exchanged for real money, gift cards, or any tangible goods outside the App.
• Coin balances may be adjusted by a Parent at any time.
• We reserve the right to modify the Coin system at any time.
• We are not liable for any loss of virtual Coins due to technical issues or account deletion.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT IN THE APP.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $10 IF THE APP IS FREE).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChoreBoard, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Any User Content you upload.
• Your child's use of the App under your supervision.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

You may stop using the App at any time. To request deletion of your data, contact us using the information below.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Snohomish County, Washington.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
